Non-Resident CA CCW Live-Fire Qualification

This course satisfies the Non-Resident California CCW Live Fire Qualification requirement.

Who Should Take this Course

This session is for individuals who have completed the online course for a Non-Resident CA CCW permit, have applied with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department or the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department.

What You Should Know

1. You must bring all firearms that you wish to add to your CCW (limit of 6) UNLOADED to the classroom (11800 Sterling Ave., Ste. G, Riverside, CA 92503).  They do not need to be listed on the California Approved Handgun Roster but they cannot have threaded barrels or use magazines with a capacity greater than 10 rounds.
2. There is no caliber restriction.  However, we would strongly recommend avoiding .17 HMR , 5.7x28, and anything larger than a .45 caliber pistol caliber round.
3. You will be required to fire your firearm on a Sheriff’s designated range and qualify with a passing score of 70% or better.
4. Bring AT LEAST 50 ROUNDS FOR EACH FIREARM you intend to qualify with. If you do not have the required ammo, the range has it available for sale.
5. You will be required to shoot 6 rounds from three different distances: It's easy and there's no excuse for failing.  You'll shoot from 7-yards, 10-yards, and 15-yards at a standard B-27 target.
6. FAILURE to bring all required equipment (firearms, ammo, range gear, etc.), or failure to pass the firearms inspection, qualify with a passing score of 70% or better, or any unsafe range violation will result in the non-issuance of satisfactory CCW qualification completion.
