As a Veteran of the United States Air Force, John Galletta began providing firearms instruction to other military members, friends and family in the early 80s.  After his discharge in 1988, and as an NRA Certified Firearms Instructor, he offered firearms instruction to individuals, companies, and organizations in Riverside County and the Inland Empire. As a result, he has successfully taught thousands of men, women, and children, the fundamentals of safe firearms handling and has instilled the traits of responsible gun ownership. In 2008, John graduated from the Riverside County Sheriff's Academy as the Highest Scoring Marksman in the history of the Palm Desert Campus. In 2009, John performed duties as a Preventive Radiological/Nuclear Detection (PRND) Instructor and member of the Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response (VIPR) Team at the Federal Air Marshal Service's Los Angeles Field Office, and then as an Instructor for the National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) Counter Terrorism Operations Support (CTOS) Program.  In 2018, John became an Approved CCW Instructor for the Riverside County Sheriff's Department and began CCW instruction under the name Riverside CCW Training.  Riverside CCW Training is also an Approved CCW Training Facility the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Arizona and Utah's Department of Public Safety, as well as select cities in the Inland Empire and Los Angeles County.  In addition, Riverside CCW Training advocates for the protection of our 2nd Amendment Rights, supports the California Rifle and Pistol Association (CRPA) and the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA), and empowers countless women and first-time shooters along the way.

Our NRA, POST, and DOJ Certified CCW Firearms Instructors have a long history of teaching firearms classes to first-time shooters, novices, hobbyists, advanced law enforcement, and competition shooters. The proven methods we apply in our firearms instruction will ensure you not only hit the target you're shooting at, but precisely where on that target you choose to place the shot. Shot placement and accuracy are essential. Fast is good, but accuracy is better.  Many of our students, primarily those with no firearm experience, are able to impact the target at the bulls-eye and then follow up with the second round going through the first hole.
